Murphy, Cantonwine to wed Oct. 19

Tessa Murphy and Michael Cantonwine, both of Urbandale, announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

Murphy is the daughter of David and Tina Murphy of Woodburn. Cantonwine is the son of Harold and Karen Cantonwine of Ames.

Murphy graduated from Clarke Community High School in 2001, Simpson College in 2005 with a major in psychology and minors in history and social work and Iowa State University in 2008 with a master’s degree in history. She earned a legal assistant certificate from Des Moines Area Community College in 2012. Murphy is a legal assistant for Belin McCormick, P.C. in Des Moines.

Cantonwine graduated from Ames High School in 1990 and Iowa State University in 1996. He majored in computer science, German and linguistics. Cantonwine is a field engineer for Oracle Corporation, international computer company, in Des Moines.

An Oct. 19 wedding is planned.
