Betty Swan

Betty Elizabeth Swan, daughter of Harry O. Duree and Rebecca (Viertz) Duree, was born Jan. 16, 1922, in Hedrick, and passed from this life Dec. 8, 2009, at Southern Hills Specialty Care in Osceola, at 87 years of age.

Betty graduated from Woodburn High School and Osceola Junior College. She was united in marriage to Darrel Bertram Swan on May 20, 1941, at Osceola; their marriage was blessed with five children.

Memorial services will be held at Saint Bernard Catholic Church, Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009, at 10 a.m. with Father Glen Wilwerding officiating. No visitation is planned.

Interment of her cremains will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery, Woodburn, at a later date.
The family requests no flowers. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Bernard Catholic Church.
