Several runners from Clarke County and the surrounding area headed to Des Moines last weekend to take part in the 30th Annual Dam to Dam Run. The races, one a 20k and the other a 5k, were held Saturday, May 30.
Andrew Hamer of Murray had the top finish for area runners in the 20k, as he finished ninth in the men’s 17-19 age division with a time of one-hour 24-minutes 6-seconds.

In the 5k run, Ben Merrick of Truro had the top area time, with a clocking of 21:43. Kristi Gwinn of Osceola had the next fastest time with a run in 28:53.
