Florence M. Talbott, 95, formerly of Birmingham, died April 19, 2008, at Nelson Nursing Home in Fairfield. She was born Oct. 8, 1912, near Eldon to Guy and Mabel Hodson Acton. She married Clarence P. Talbott on Dec. 22, 1934, at Batavia. She is survived by her three sons, Raymond Talbott of Osceola, Virgil Talbott of Fullerton, Calif., and David Talbot of Lake Zurich, Ill.; six granddaughters; 11 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and a sister, Maxine DeBurn of Ottumwa. In accord with her wishes, her body was cremated. A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2008, in Birmingham United Methodist Church with Pastor Michael Renken officiating. Burial of the cremains will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery north of Douds. Visitation with family present will be 12:30-1:30 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Memorials to Birmingham United Methodist Church may be left at the church or mailed to the family at 219 West Jefferson St., Osceola, IA 50213.
