Coach reflections

Murray head coach Maigan Mumaw shared her thoughts on the season.

“As head coach, I would first like to say that this year has been an incredible year for our archery team! Danielle [Norman] and I are very proud of our group of kids and the effort they put in all season. With the season being longer this year, we faced some pretty harsh trials,” she said. “Despite these hiccups, our kids grew more confident with every tournament and every practice. This growth in confidence culminated in all of our archers shooting personal best scores and 11 of them qualifying for state. Danielle and I are very much looking forward to next season with the hope of continued growth with the program!”

In a post, Clarke head coach Bert Houge said,

“Archery challenges mental toughness, chips away at your confidence and forces you to face yourself when you are least prepared for it. All of the archers this year have done that and that is something to be very proud of. Thank you again for an amazing season.”
