Eric A. Kovaleski, of Des Moines, was taken into custody Feb. 27 at the Polk County Jail on Clarke County charges of third-degree theft and unauthorized use of a credit card.
According to an Osceola Police report, on Dec. 27, Kovaleski picked a wallet up from the gaming floor at Lakeside Casino Hotel and went into a bathroom.
When asked by casino staff if he had picked up a wallet, Kovaleski denied he had and was escorted out of the casino. Kovaleski was later seen on surveillance footage at Osceola Hy-Vee purchasing approximately $264 worth of merchandise with a credit card not belonging to him and that he had no authorization to use.
The victim also reported there had been approximately $1,000 in cash in the wallet.
Kovaleski was transported to Clarke County Jail and released March 2 on $4,000 surety bond.

Leslie D. Keller, of Osceola, was taken into custody March 1 on East Grant Street on the charge of driving while barred.
According to an Osceola Police report, Keller was observed operating a motor vehicle on a public roadway. Keller was known for previously not having a valid driver’s license, and was arrested after Clarke County dispatch confirmed she currently had a barred license.
Keller was transported to Clarke County Jail and released March 1 after posting $2,000 cash bond.

Rusty L. Throckmorton, of Corydon, was taken into custody March 1 at 112 N. Adams St. on a Clarke County warrant.
According to an Osceola Police report, on Feb. 17 officers observed Throckmorton driving a vehicle through Osceola. At the time, Throckmorton’s license was barred until Feb. 23 and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Throckmorton was transported to Clarke County Jail and released March 1 after posting $200 cash bond.
