Rex Money

Rex Donald Money, 61, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023 in Osceola, IA. Rex was born October 31, 1961, in Des Moines, Iowa to Donna Nutting (Benge) and John Money. He was raised in Milo, Iowa and attended school at Southeast Warren.

Rex was married to Jeannie Anne Alene McDole on September 1, 1984, at Lake Ahquabi in Indianola. Rex attended Carpentry school in 1983 and worked in that field a majority of his life. He also worked for Siemens Furnace for multiple years.

Rex was known as the ‘wood man’ and for many years cut and sold wood to buyers in the area. In his free time, Rex enjoyed staying busy building things, tending his yard and working on trucks. He loved all types of music throughout his life; he was a dog lover, and had fish.

Rex is survived by his wife Jeannie of Osceola; father, John Money of Newton; children: Shalina (EJ) Wallace of Windsor Heights, Donna (Josh) Hall of Osceola and Becky Money (Steven Roe) of Osceola; eight grandchildren; seven siblings; father-in-law, Robert McDole, two brothers-in-law, and two sisters-in-law, along with many extended family members.
