Elsie Potter, 74, of Osceola, died September 23, 2021, at EveryStep Greater Regional Hospice House in Creston. Celebration of Life services will be 2 p.m. Nov. 20, 2021, at Faith Fellowship Church in Osceola.

Pastor Sheldon Lorenson will officiate the service. Family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. before the service. Burial will be in the Leon Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to her family. Online condolences given at www.powersfh.com.

Elsie Marie (Cook) Potter, was born Sept. 4, 1947, in Osceola, the oldest child born to Clarence Gutherie Cook and Vera Bernita (Wilkins) Cook. She was educated in Clarke Community Schools in Osceola.

Elsie was united in marriage to Freddie Harve Potter, April 12, 1964, in Osceola. Elsie was a homemaker. She loved her family and enjoyed spending lots of time with them. She enjoyed camping, vacationing, motorcycling and working on crafts. Elsie was a member of the Faith Fellowship Church in Osceola.

Survivors are sons, Robert Potter (Roberta Thompson) and Fred Potter, all of Osceola; grandchildren, Christopher, Brandy and Ryan; three great-grandchildren; brother Gary (Conda) Cook of Osceola; sister-in-law LaVoy Buckingham of Winterset; aunt Aleta Mullins of Belton, Mo.; nephews, Jeremy Cook (fiancé Ashley Hitt) of Osceola, Kiley (Cheyanne) Cook of Weldon, Iowa, Scott Buckingham of Peru, and Shawn (Kara) Buckingham of Colfax; and extended relatives.

Elsie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; mother and father-in-law, Fred and LaVeta Potter, daughter-in-law, Vicki Potter and brother-in-law Larry Buckingham.
