Lola Luella Jones, 87, of Osceola, daughter of Glen Stiles and Bessie (Bright) Stiles was born Dec. 3, 1933, in Leon, Iowa and passed from this life Friday, Jan. 15, 2021, at Southern Hills Specialty Care.

Luella received her education in Decatur County. She was united in marriage to Harold Roy Jones on March 17, 1951, at Osceola, IA and six children, Stephen, Randy, Gary, Paula, Rhonda and Bill blessed this union.

Luella worked as a Seamstress for Snowden’s in Osceola and also at Kayott in Indianola. She was also a devoted farm wife who loved being a mom and raising her family.

Luella attended the United Methodist Church in New Virginia and enjoyed crafts of all kinds, gardening and tending to her roses and sitting outdoors. She liked bird watching, especially the robins while they built their nests. She was known to help anyone who needed it and loved her family and friends. In her earlier years, she liked to dance, camp, cook and bake. McDonald’s French fries were among her favorites as well as meeting friends and neighbors at the Hen House in New Virginia. She loved all animals, especially horses and puppies.

Those relatives who preceded Luella in death were her parents; husband, Harold Roy Jones; daughter, Rhonda Sue Luckett; sister, Margie Throckmorton, sister, Lucille Paytner, brother, Paul Stiles, sister, Mary Stewart, son-in-law, Scott Hollingsworth, brother-in-law, Ardith and wife Carmen Jones, sister-in-law, Georgia and husband, Buck Carson, brother-in-law, Ronnie Jones, sister-in-law, Joann Root and brother-in-law, Kenny Jones and daughter-in-law, Betty Jones.

Lola leaves to cherish her memory; son, Stephen (Cindy) Jones of Spring Hill, Iowa, son, Randy (Kathy) Jones of New Virginia, IA, son, Gary Jones of Red Oak, Texas, daughter, Paula Hollingsworth of Osceola, Iowa, son, Bill Jones of Osceola, Iowa, sister-in-law, Janice Jones of Indianola, Iowa, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren other relatives and a host of friends.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Jan. 20, 2021, at Kale Funeral Home with Pastor Amy Johnson officiating.

The family will greet friends Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the Kale Funeral Home.

The family and funeral home asks that anyone in attendance at the visitation or funeral service please follow social distancing guidelines. The use of face coverings at either event are REQUIRED. If you are unable to attend the service in person, a live stream will be available at www.kalefuneralhome.com on Lola’s tribute wall beginning at 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Interment will be in the New Virginia Cemetery
