No citations were issued after an accident 7:30 a.m. Sep. 28 at 800 S. Fillmore St.
According to an Osceola Police report, Carmen Rose McLain, 18, of Osceola, driving a a 2005 Dodge attempted to hit the brake but accidentally hit the gas and ran into the an unoccupied 2016 Ford truck parked in front of the space she was pulling into.
Estimated damage was $3,000 to the 2016 Ford truck and $4,500 to McLain’s vehicle.

According to an Osceola Police report, Brandi Lynn Deemer, 38, of West Des Moines, driving a 2004 Pontiac swerved to avoid another vehicle causing Deemer to lose control and slide into the east ditch. Deemer then drove out of the ditch and continued on her way the other vehicle never stopped and the driver was unknown.
