Central Decatur baseball placed four players on the Pride of Iowa all-conference teams with two on the first team, one on the second team and one honorable mention selection.
First team
David Walker and Michel Evertsen both made their way on the first-team all-conference group.
Evertsen was the main force on the mound for Central Decatur during his senior season. He pitched 30 innings, striking out 25 batters. Evertsen hit .500 at the plate, fifth in the conference, with a .589 on-base percentage for sixth in the conference. He drove in 33 RBIs, first in the conference.
Walker hit an even .300 on the season, driving in 24 runs for seventh in the conference. He also pitched 25 innings, striking out 25 batters and finished wit ha 3-1 record on the mound for the Cardinals.
Second team
TJ Fallis cracked the second-team all-conference team for Central Decatur.
Fallis hit .353 on the season with a .494 on-base percentage and drove in 14 runs. On the base paths, he was a force, stealing 14 of 16 bases for the Cardinals. He was also a solid option defensively, fielding .953, committing only two errors on the season.
Honorable mention
Matthew Boothe rounded out the Cardinals making the all-conference teams.
Boothe hit .353 was, tied with Fallis, and had an on-base percentage of .526. He had 20 RBIs while walking 17 times. On the mound, Boothe threw 10 2/3 innings 11 in his time on the mound for Central Decatur.
