The SCICAP Clarke County Outreach Office is ready to provide utility and food pantry assistance without needing in-person appointments with the lobby/waiting area being closed due to COVID-19. All area residents with incomes at 175 percent of poverty guidelines are encouraged to apply for utility assistance.
For example, a family of four can earn $3,756 monthly or $45,063 yearly. Workers who have lost wages due to the COVID-19 crisis are especially encouraged to apply. Income verification is for the last 30 days or the most recent tax return, whichever is most beneficial to the household.
The application can be completed without visiting the outreach office. Residents of Clarke County can apply by contacting Troy McBroom, outreach coordinator, at (641)342-2101 or by email at email@example.com.
The emergency food pantry is also available to eligible Clarke County residents at the Osceola office located at 114 South Fillmore. Households needing emergency food can contact Troy at the office by calling or emailing him about assistance.
Troy is in the Osceola office on Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on Wednesdays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A time will be set up for the household to access food without face to face contact at the office location.
If you have questions or need additional information, do not hesitate to contact Troy or Sue McCleary, Administrative Assistant, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
