Clarke County Hospital community events

Clarke County Hospital is sponsoring two upcoming community events.

“Earth Day Fun Day” is a free family event. It will be held on Sunday, April 28, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Q-Pond Park in Osceola.

There will be games, prizes and an easy obstacle course for young, school-age children. Children who complete the obstacle course will receive an Earth Day Fun Day Award Ribbon.

Families are invited to join in anytime. Earth Day Fun Day is also supported by Crossroads Mental Health, Clarke County Public Health and Osceola Public Library.

Then, on Saturday, May 4, the Clarke County Hospital Foundation is sponsoring a Community Flower and Garden Sale. It will be held from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at 714 W. McLane St. across from Playa Margaritas Restaurant in Osceola.

There will be local and regional vendors selling flowers, vegetable plants, gardening supplies, ornaments, tools and antique tractors on display.

Partners in the Community Flower and Garden Sale are: Iowa State University Master Gardeners, Osceola Public Library, City of Osceola, Osceola Chamber Main Street and the Clarke County Development Corporation.

Both events are open to the public.
