Connie Sue Boles, 68, of Grand River died Monday, July 25, 2016, at her home.
Funeral services were held 10 a.m. Thursday, July 28, at Slade-O’Donnell Funeral Home, 103 NE Mill St., in Leon with the Rev. Terry D. Roberts officiating. Burial was in Grand River Cemetery in Grand River. A memorial fund has been established by the family.
Connie Sue Boles, daughter of Leonard Lee and Juanita Lenora (Page) Brenton, was born Sept. 11, 1947, in Osceola. Connie grew up in Golden, Colorado, graduating from high school in 1965. She sang in a band for a few years before her marriage.
On July 2, 1971, Connie married Garry Bervan Boles in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The family made their home in Grand River.
Over the years, Connie worked at Farm Bureau, O’Bryan Brothers, Decatur County Sheriff’s office as a dispatcher then a deputy, all in Leon, and finally, Furness Electric in Osceola. Connie was secretary for her son Todd’s tractor pulling business.
Connie is survived by her husband Garry Boles of Grand River; daughter Tracy Link of Grand River; son Todd Boles (fiancé, Julie Waddell) of Davis City; grandchildren, Aarrica Boles, Alisha Link, Alayna Link, Taylor Waddell, Kenny Boles and Kendra Boles; great-grandchildren, Aaleah and Warren; mother Juanita Stahlman of Grand River; nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Connie was preceded in death by her father and brothers, Jerry and Kenny Brenton.
