Randy Hullinger Osceola

Randy Hullinger, 65, of Osceola died May 7, 2015, after a lengthy illness.

Celebration of his life will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, May 23, at his home, 1050 Harken Hills Drive, in Osceola. Kale Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St., Osceola, is in charge of arrangements. Randall (Randy) Mark Hullinger, son of Mary Lenola (Riddle) and Loral Lester Hullinger, was born Aug. 5, 1949, in Leon.

After graduation from Leon High School, Randy attended Culver Stockton College, Canton, Mo., graduating in 1971 with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology.

After their graduation, Randy married Debbie Price (deceased).

Randy entered the U.S. Army in 1971 and served in the Army Reserves until his honorable discharge.

After military service, he entered the family business in Leon, Hullinger Insurance and Real Estate, where he worked for many years as an agent and appraiser. Upon sale of the agency, Randy relocated to Osceola where he continued appraising, retiring in 2011, and developing residential properties. He became a consultant for Longaberger Baskets and Pottery; he served as executive director of Golden Thread retirement community; and worked part-time for Flowers ‘N More, all in Osceola.

On Dec. 23, 2014, Randy married his long-time partner Ronald William Tilander.

Randy is survived by husband Ron; sister SueAnn D (husband Len) Plato of Burlington, Wis.; brother Ronald L. of West Lafayette, Ind.; nephews, David M. (wife Lori) of West Lafayette, Ind., Thomas G. (wife Ruth) of Boulder, Colo., and John C. (wife Laurie) of West Lafayette, Ind.; grandnephew Dylan A.; and grandnieces, Jessica G., Sara R., Rikki A., Lindsey G. and Cora C. and many dear friends.

Randy was preceded in death were his parents and sister-in-law and special friend Patricia Hullinger.
