What unusual weather, some crops are up and some seeds are still in the sacks. The forecast is not good.
Dan Waller and his friend and her daughter from Des Moines were Memorial Day visitors of Betty Wallace. Debbie Wallace tripped over her terrier dog and broke her other leg.
Virginia Lewis, Bessie Martin and Mabel Shay had lunch with Betty Wallace and then played bridge in the afternoon.
Mary Ellis fell at her house and broke her leg. She uses a wheelchair to move about. Jim’s the cook. Mary’s address is 2467 Hingston Ave., Weldon, IA 50264 It would be nice for Mary to get some get well cards.
The Weldon Christian Church will hold church Sunday, June 7 at 10 a.m. at the Steve and Rose Gilbert home in the woods with pot luck dinner.
Harland Collins got home from the hospital on May 27. He has to go to Clarke County Hospital for foot treatments for six weeks. He appears to be doing fine.
Audra Robins had eye surgery Tuesday and is doing fine. Her granddaughter, Dawn, is staying with her.
Debra Carmichael had cake and ice cream May 31 at Calvary Church for Rev. Max Carmachael’s birthday. Music followed the potluck supper.
Visitors in the home of Betty Savely May 18-21 were Melvin and Mark Weirhauser of Muscatine. Sunday, May 24 visitors of Betty Savely were Dennis Lutz of Iowa Falls and Dorothy of Des Moines.
June 14 at 2 p.m. there will be various types of music at the Weldon Bandstand. In case of rain, they will go to the Weldon Methodist Church. They are having a bake sale also.
Memorial services were held on May 25 in Marion for Barbara McKeon. She was a sister of Doris Landphair and had visited in Weldon many times.

Mabel Shay attended the Blockton School Alumni on Memorial Day weekend. A 50-year graduate, Gary Cavanaugh, of Stockton, Calif., played an unusual musical rendition on Unihlearn Pipes, a rare instrument similar to Irish bagpipes. We enjoyed it immensely.
