Randy James McBride, 62, son of Robert Lee McBride and Eva Iris (Collins) McBride was born Aug.6, 1958, in Osceola, Iowa, and passed from this life Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2020, at EveryStep Hospice Kavanagh House in Des Moines, Iowa.
Randy has lived his life in Osceola, and attended Clarke Community Schools. On Aug.27, 1977, he married the love of his life, Sally Jo Propst.
Randy was a hard worker and worked road construction for Eco Tech for 25 years and most recently for Sternquist Construction in Indianola until health required him to retire. Randy enjoyed working on cars and was an "Ace mechanic", he could fix anything. He was always available to help friends with their cars and was always there to lend a helping hand.
Those relatives who preceded Randy in death were his parents, Eva and Robert McBride and his wife Sally Jo McBride.
Randy leaves to cherish his memory: Sons Jimmy McBride of Osceola, Iowa, and Rodney McBride of Knoxville, Iowa; sisters Sandy (Krell McBroom) McBride of Osceola, and Iris (Vernon) LaFollette of Camache, Iowa, Judy (Mike) Patterson of Clive, Iowa; brothers Robert (Debbie Kistler) McBride of Osceola, Iowa, Harry Jo (Dean) McBride of Osceola, Iowa; sister Ranetta (Roger) Mills of Polk City, Iowa; sister Dawn (Barry Loy) Smith of Murray, Iowa; and nine grandchildren as well as other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, 11 a.m. Saturday Dec. 5, 2020, with Pastor Chuck DeVos officiating.
Family will greet friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, prior to the services at Kale Funeral Home.
The family and funeral home ask that anyone in attendance at the visitation or funeral service please follow social distancing guidelines. The use of face coverings is required. For those unable to attend the service in person, a live stream will be available at kalefuneralhome.com on Randy's tribute wall beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday.
Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery.
