The Clarke County Hospital Auxiliary is partnering with Cancer Care and Beyond. They are helping raise funds for the hospital’s pharmacy renovation in order for the hospital to continue to offer outpatient services and infusions, shorten patient wait time by preparing medications in an in-house pharmacy and have the prpoer equipment and space to enable safe medication handling to protect the environment, pharmacy staff and care providers.
The Hospital Auxiliary has a great history of giving. From 2006 through this year the Auxiliary has donated $156,569.27, included in that number is the $44,000 worth of scholarships to county residents going into the medical field.
The annual hospital golf tournament raised $8,000 and the Auxiliary’s Collective Goods Sale is in the hospital lobby Oct. 14. Their Jewlery Sale is Dec. 16. The gift shop is open 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. Monday-Friday with seasonal gifts, kids gifts and much more.
The gift shop and lobby’s front desk are run by Auxiliary memebers. New volunteers are always welcome. Anyone interested should talk with a current Auxiliary member or go to the Clarke County Hospital lobby or gift shop.
