Osceola participates in Main Street Iowa’s Restaurant Week

For the third year in a row Osceola is participating in Iowa Main Street’s Restaurant Week.

This 10 day event runs Sep. 20-29. This week encourages Iowans to travel and dine in Main Street communities across the state. The theme this year is Honey and Apples. Each participating restaurant will have honey and apple inspired dishes to eat all week long.

The Osceola Chamber Main Street has punch cards available for diners to use. The more punches diners get on their card for dining on honey and apple cuisine at local participating restaurants the more times their name will be entered in a drawing.

“We will have three prize baskets with assorted restaurant gift cards, honey and local products,” said OCMS Director Ashleigh Eckles.

Participating restaurants include The Iron Horse Neighborhood Grill, Mayberry’s Coffee House & Eatery, Timber Ridge County Market, Hy-Vee Dollar Fresh Market Grill, Eagles Bar & Grill, Lakeside Hotel Casino, Nana Greer’s Family Table and Playa Margaritas.

Local sponsors of the event are Lakeside Hotel Casino, the Premier Sponsor and First National Bank, County Supervisors and The Iron Horse Neighborhood Grill who are all Gold Sponsors.

“It is a great event for our local restaurants and producers and the camaraderie we bring to put Osceola on the food map,” said Eckles.

The OCMS is looking forward to promoting Osceola’s restaurants as a “foodie” experience and having the community learn more about local restaurants and honey and apple producers.

“Everyone’s honey and apple themed menu items sound amazing,” said Eckles. “Follow our Facebook page to learn all about what we have planned for the week and go experience Osceola’s restaurants.”
