Mildred O'Neall, 90, of Afton, formerly of Murray, died Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at the Afton Care Center. Celebration of life services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Powers Funeral Home in Afton. Pastor Dwayne Henrichs will officiate. Burial will be in Murray Cemetery. Open visitation will be Monday from 3 to 7 p.m. with family recieving from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Powers Funeral Home, 612 North Dodge, Afton. Memorials are to the family. Mildred Elaine O’Neall, daughter of Mildred B. (Daub) and Gayle Samuel Bierce was born December 7, 1928, at home in Clarke County, Mildred graduated from Murray High School in 1946.

Mildred was united in marriage to John Thomas O’Neall on September 11,1948, in Kewanee, Illinios. They settled in the Hopeville area where she was as an active mother and farmwife. She also worked a short time at the Osceola Family Table Restaurant as a waitress and pie maker..

Mildred was a member of the Hopeville Ladies Aide and was a member of the Murray Church of Christ Church.

Mildred is survived by her daughter Terrie (John) Beardsley of Murray; a son Tommy (Linda) O’Neall of Nevada; grandchildren: Jodie (Brett) Weis of Afton, Wendy (Scott) Rustan of Henderson, Nevada, Scott (Dana) O’Neall of Winterset, Mindy O’Neall of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Amber Gartner of Spring Hills, Tennesee; 11 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Carolee (Gerald) Brown of Lafyette, Colorado, and Sharon Garity of Indianola; and a brother Larry Bierce of Omaha, Nebraksa, and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, husband Tom O’Neall, siblings: Clayton Bierce, Dale Bierce, Marilyn German, Everette Bierce, Bonnie Adams and Donald Bierce, two grandchildren: Stacey and Tracy O’Neall and several brothers and sisters-in-laws.
