According to an Osceola Police report, James Tyler Coverdell, 28, of Osceola, driving a 2002 Nissan was backing out of a parking space and struck a legally parked 2008 Dodge.

Estimated damage was $1,000 to the 2008 Dodge and $300 to Coverdell’s vehicle.

According to an Osceola Police report, Michael Wayne Lowers, 55, of Leon, driving a 2009 Eldo Southern Iowa Trolley was stopped to let passengers off at Fareway when Sandra Jean Johnson, 62, of Truro, driving a 1998 Ford backed from her parking spot and struck the Trolley’s tire.

According to an Osceola Police report, Anna Krisztina Kimball, 24, of Osceola, driving a 2016 Ford had backed her vehicle from a parking spot in the Jet Fitness parking lot and struck the bumper of a legally parked 2013 GMC.

Estimated damage was $2,000 to the legally parked 2013 GMC and $750 to Kimball’s vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 7:29 p.m. July 3 on Interstate 35.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Noah John Beebe, 22, of Johnston, driving a 2001 Chevy lost control going south bound in the rain and slid off the roadway, down the right embankment, striking a tree at the bottom of the ditch.

Estimated damage was $2,000 to Beebe’s vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 2:08 a.m. Saturday on Interstate 35 NW ramp.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Ryan Mark Moffitt, 42, of Osceola, driving a 2000 Dodge noticed his vehicle losing power and lights before exiting on the NW ramp, when he realized the ramp had a curve he over corrected and the vehicle rolled.

Estimated damage was $10,000 to Moffitt’s vehicle.

Beverly Alexander Whitis, 66, of Texas, was cited for failure to stop in assured clear distance after an accident 11:45 a.m. Saturday on the Interstate 35 SE ramp.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Lisa Lynn Woodcock, 42, of Kansas, driving a 2018 Toyota was stopped at the stop sign waiting to enter Highway 34 from the Interstate 35 SE ramp when Whitis, driving a 2017 Nissan, rear ended Woodcock’s vehicle.

Estimated damage was $2,500 Woodcock’s vehicle and $1,000 to Whitis’ vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 2:55 p.m. Saturday at the intersection on Eddy Saylor Parkway and Highway 34.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Sherry Lynn Parkhurst, 48, of Osceola, driving a 2006 Chevy was passing Darrell Charles Perry, 79, of Osceola, driving a 7420 John Deer farm tractor headed west on Highway 34, when Perry began to make a left turn onto Eddy Saylor Parkway his vehicle’s front end loader with bale spear made contact with the passenger side of Parkhurst’s vehicle.

Estimated damage was $5,000 to Parkhurst’s vehicle and $1,000 to Perry’s vehicle.
