No citations were issued after an accident 1:05 a.m. March 21 on Interstate 35.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Amanda Lynn Grimm, 21, of Des Moines, driving a 2016 Chevy was traveling south on Interstate 35 when a deer entered the roadway and Grimm could not stop in time to avoid the deer.

Estimated damage was $2,500 to Grimm’s vehicle.

No citations were issue after an accident 10:55 a.m. March 22 on Leisure Street.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Bill David Hynek, 68, of Beaconsfield, driving a 2017 Kenworth semi and tanker north onto Leisure Drive didn’t manipulate a turn properly and drove onto the soft corner causing the tractor and tanker to tip onto the drivers side in the east ditch. The tanker containing contaminated water did sustain a leak.

Estimated damage was $50,000 to Hynek’s vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 3:08 a.m. March 30 on the 2900 blk of Highway 34.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Laurie Helen Romero, 58, of Osceola, driving a 2003 Honda was traveling east on Highway 34 when a deer entered the roadway and Romero was unable to avoid striking the deer.

Estimated damage was $4,000 to Romero’s vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 7 p.m. April 2 at the intersection of 140th Avenue and Clover Street.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report Richard William Jones, 52, of Osceola, driving a 1994 Ford truck attempted to pass Craig Jeffrey Justice, 65, of Murray, driving a tractor on 140th Avenue and when Justice began to turn west onto Clover Street Jones struck the tractor causing Justice to enter the east ditch.

Estimated damage was $4,500 to Jones’ vehicle.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Mindi Lynn Woodson, 40, of Leon, driving a 2006 BMW north on Interstate 35 then a deer entered the roadway, Woodson was unable to avoid striking the deer.

Estimated damage was $10,000 to Woodson’s vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 11:30 a.m. April 8 at 2010 W. Clay St.

According to an Osceola Police report, William Rocholl Thomas, 50, of Minnesota, driving a 2000 Kenworth semi hauling an oversized load was attempting to leave the Pilot Truck Stop, as he began to back up he couldn’t see behind the oversized load on his trailer and struck Christopher Matthew Wedlund, 57, of Washington, driving a 2020 Volvo semi.

Estimated damage was $500 to Thomas’ vehicle and $2,500 to Wedlund’s vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 10:27 p.m. April 8 at the Pilot Truck Stop parking lot.

According to an Osceola Police report, Milton Oscar Sanchez Heredia, 40, of Texas, driving a 2014 Kenworth semi was backing into a parking space when he struck the 2017 Freightliner semi that was legally parked in the neighboring space.

Estimated damage was $50 to Heredia’s vehicle and $10,000 to the 2017 Freightliner.

No citations were issued after an accident 7:30 a.m. April 12 on the 2500 blk of Pacific Street.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report Joshua Daniel Grigg, 28, of Chariton, driving a 1995 Chevy truck west on Pacific Street made an evasive maneuver when there was an unknown vehicle sitting on a one lane bridge, the maneuver caused Grigg to strike the supports of the bridge.

Estimated damage was $10,000 to Grigg’s vehicle and $30,000 to the bridge.
