Stephanie Lynn Eslick, 33, of Osceola, was cited for no left turn for parking after an accidents 7:50 a.m. March 26 on the 100 blk of South Fillmore Street.

According to an Osceola Police report, Brian Edward Schiltz, 55, of Osceola, driving a 2016 Chevy truck was backing out of the parking spot in front of the post office when Eslick, driving a 1999 Ford truck came into contact with Schiltz’s vehicle. Eslick confirmed that she had made a U-turn in order to park in the southbound lane parking.

Estimated damage was $400 to Schiltz’s vehicle and $500 to Eslick’s vehicle.

Dallas Ray Floyd, 35, of Osceola, was cited for failure to yield entering thru traffic and Maria Garcia Rios, 45, of Osceola, was cited for failure to have a valid license or permit after an accident 8:26 a.m. April 1 on the 100 blk of McLane Street.

According to an Osceola Police report, Floyd, driving a 2000 ford was attempting to turn left onto Highway 34 and a pickup wanted to turn right into the Casey’s parking lot, when the driver of the pickup waved Floyd on he pulled out onto the highway and didn’t see Garcia Rios, driving a 2008 Jeep until the vehicles collided.

Estimated damage was $1,500 to Floyd’s vehicle and $5,000 to Garcia Rios’ vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 2:24 a.m. Friday on Interstate 35.

According to an Osceola Police report, Anthony Michael Campbell, 25, of Des Moines, driving a 2016 Chevy truck hauling a trailer was on the inside lane of the Interstate 35 passing a semi when the trailer started to fishtail and Campell went off the road to the left and damaged 13 cable barrier posts.

Estimated damage was $10,000 to the DOT cable barriers and $15,000 to Campbell’s vehicle and trailer.
