No citations were issued after an accident 7:21 a.m. Feb. 5 on Interstate 35.

According to the Clarke County Sheriff’s Office, Shannon Edmond Scrivner, 48, of Leon, driving a 2006 Honda northbound on Interstate 35 when he heard a pop, lost control and swerved from the right lane into the left and back to the right coming to rest in the ditch after rolling once and coming to rest on the drivers side.

Estimated damage was was $10,000 to Scrivner’s vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 8:35 p.m. Feb. 6 at the intersection of West Logan Street and South Lincoln Street.

According to an Osceola Police report, Brittany Louise Cline, 32, of Osceola, driving a 2015 Chevy attempted to turn left onto South Lincoln Street when her vehicle slid on the icy roadway and went straight through the curve.

Estimated damage was $1,400 to Cline’s vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 6:30 a.m. Feb. 7 at the intersecton of 250th Avenue and Clover Street.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Manuel Alejandro Samaniego Uzeta, 27, of Webster City, driving a 2006 Volkwagon. The vehicle was unattended when deputies found it, when they were able to contact Uteza he told deputies he had slid from Clover Street through 250th Avenue and rolled the car onto its top due to ice and snow covered roads.

Estimated damage was $15,000.

No citations were issued after an accident 2:33 p.m. Feb. 12 in the Walmart parking lot.

According to an Osceola Police report, Alicia Jo Schumacher, 33, of Murray, driving a 2007 Ford was waiting in isle 5 of the Walmart parking lot for a vehicle that was backing out of a spot when Debra Louise McCloney, 59, of New Virginia, driving 2005 Dodge truck began to back out of her parking spot, not seeing Schumacher and the two vehicles collided.

Estimated damage was $4,500 to Schumacher’s vehicle and $500 to McCloney’s vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 5:42 p.m. Feb. 13 at 777 Casino Drive.

Elizabeth Marianne McDowell, 66, of Ottumwa, driving a 2008 Ford truck was backing out of her parking spot at the Lakeside Casino parking lot and she slid on ice into a legally parked 2007 Ford.

Estimated damage was $4,500 to the legally parked 2007 Ford and $500 to McDowell’s vehicle.
