No citations were issued after an accident 7:19 p.m. Dec. 31 at Pilot Truck Stop.
According to an Osceola Police report, Samuel Blakely, driving a 2018 Freightliner semi was parked at Pilot Truck Stop when his vehicle was struck by James Edward Brassfield, 57, of Hiawatha, driving a 2017 Ford truck with a trailer hauling three utility vans. The last van on the trailer scraped Blakely’s vehicle.
Estimated damage was $1,000 to Blakely’s vehicle and $3,000 to the vehicle Brassfield was hauling.

Philip Albert Lenhart, 81, of Michigan, was cited for starting or backing improperly after an accident 6:04 p.m. Jan. 1.
According to an Osceola Police report, Lenhart, driving a 2015 GMC truck, was backing up to pull into a driveway area and didn’t see Jacqueline Marie Castillo, 31, of Osceola, driving a 2009 Chrysler and the vehicles collided.
Estimated damage was $800 to Castillo’s vehicle and $20 to Lenhart’s vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 7:10 p.m. Saturday on the 100 blk of South Fillmore Street.
According to an Osceola Police report, a witness saw a legally parked 2005 Dodge van struck by a Chevy S10 truck backing down the street for an unknown reason. After the truck struck the van the driver sped away.
Estimated damage was $1,000 to the Dodge van and $100 to the Chevy truck.
