Wes Fouche, 79, of West Des Moines died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019.

Wes, son of Chet and Hazel Fouche, was born Oct. 12, 1939, in Osceola. He graduated from Osceola High School with the class of 1957. Wes operated a Pester Derby station in Chariton in the mid 1960s, and thereafter, worked for the Pester Corporation until 1985.
In 1982, Wes married Sue Rankin. In 1985, they purchased a Dairy Queen Store in West Des Moines, and later Wes became a partner in two other stores and worked in these stores until retirement in 2003. Throughout his DQ ownership, he was an active member of the DQ Associations.
Wes is survived by his wife Sue; children, Tomie Fouche of Miami, Oklahoma, Tina Rosewall of Leon, John (Bea) Fouche of Urbandale and Julie (Kirk) Wulff of Davenport; stepchildren, Wendy (Jim) Frost and Karla Rankin, both of Winterset; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother Wendell (Marlen); sisters, Bev Raymond and Barb Hadley; as well as several nieces, nephews and good friends.
Wes was preceded in death by his parents, Chet and Hazel Fouche; and brothers-in-law, Jim Hadley and Jim Raymond.
