Accident

No citations were issued after an accident 6:51 p.m. Dec. 26 at 1810 Daisy Ln.

According to an Osceola Police report, Mathew Glen Herzberg, 31, of Clarinda, driving a 1999 Chevy truck was moving the vehicle to a different location in the driveway, when he got out of the truck the vehicle began to roll backward, the open driver door knocked him down and his leg was pinned beneath the left front tire.

Herzberg was transported to Clarke County Hospital but had no broken bones.

No citations were issued after an accident 9:43 p.m. Friday at the 1000 blk of Highway 69.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Ryan T. Lanman, 30, of Missouri, driving a 2017 Hyndai north on Highway 69 was struck on the driver side of his vehicle by a deer that ran into the roadway.

Estimated damage was $2,000.

No citations were issued after an accident 1:43 p.m. Saturday in the Fareway parking lot.

According to an Osceola Police report Maeci Marie Baumfalk, 19, of Murray, driving a 2002 Ford was backing out of a parking space at Fareway and struck Michael, Wayne Rychnovsky, 46, of Osceola, driving a 2014 GMC around a parked car beside Baumfalk.

Estimated damage was $1,500 to Rychnovsky’s vehicle and $1,000 to Baumfalk’s vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 1:30 a.m. Sunday at the 1000 blk of 250th Avenue.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Randy Eugene Allen, 60, of Osceola, driving a 1996 Dodge truck got caught in frozen ruts on the gravel and lost control going into the east ditch sideways causing the vehicle to come to rest on its top.

Estimated damage was $500.

Cody Lee Brandt, 21, of Osceola, was cited for leaving the scene of a property damage accident and windshield and window requirements after an accident 1:42 p.m. Sunday at 1706 Jeffrey’s Dr. in the Casey’s General Store parking lot.

According to an Osceola Police report, Brandt, driving a 2004 Pontiac, pulled forward and struck a legally parked 2015 Ford in the rear passenger side. Brandt was identified from surveillance video at Casey’s after he did not return to the store.

Estimated damage was $2,000 to the legally parked 2015 Ford and $500 to Brandt’s vehicle.
