Community make a difference day

Sept. 29 is Osceola Community Make a Difference Day and you can make a difference by helping to stock up our local food pantries.

Individuals are welcome to bring donated items to the Osceola Fareway store between 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sept. 29 and all donations go to Clarke County Food Pantry, Full Gospel church Community Food Pantry and the Clarke Schools Food and Clothing Pantry.

There is a team option for participating as well. Each team will be assigned an area to go door-to-door and collect items. In addition, teams may choose to begin gathering items early to add to their door-to-door collections. Teams will pick up area maps and drop off collected items at the Osceola Fareway store between 9a.m.-3 p.m. Sept. 29. There are awards for the most successful teams.

Most needed items include canned food of all kinds, boxed foods, bagged foods, cleaning products, toiletries, paper products and first aid products.

Enjoy making a difference in our community by stocking our local food pantries.
