Accidents

No citations were issued after an accident 12:35 a.m. Aug. 9 on 130th Avenue.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Reggie Philip Wheeler, 60, of Murray, driving a 1993 GEO, was northbound on 130th Ave. when he took a corner too fast and over corrected causing the vehicle to roll completely over. Wheeler consented to a Breathalyzer test and tested over the legal limit.

Estimated damage was $5,000 to Wheeler’s vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 2:20 p.m. Aug. 9 on 300th Avenue.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Diana Marco Bol, 29, of Des Moines, driving a 2017 Chevy eastbound on Highway 34 turned too quickly onto 300th Avenue and slid on loose gravel, she then entered the ditch on the east side, side swiped a stop sign and came out of the ditch and the vehicle came to rest on the shoulder of the east bound lane.

Estimated damage was $3,000 to Bol’s vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 3:48 p.m. Aug. 9 on 315 Avenue.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Kevin Leroy Dorland, 60, of Osceola, driving a 1973 GMC truck was driving up an incline in his field when the cargo in the back of the truck shifted causing the vehicle to roll onto its top.

Estimated damage was $5,000 to Dorland’s vehicle.

No citations were issued after an accident 4:20 p.m. Friday on Highway 69.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Courtney, E. Craven, 33, of New Jersey, driving a 2017 Nissan was northbound in the 1300 block of Highway 69 when a deer entered the roadway and she could not safely avoid the collision and struck the deer.

Estimated damage was $3,000 to Craven’s vehicle.
