Iowa Public Television’s Interactive Exhibit for Iowa State Fair

JOHNSTON — Visitors to Iowa Public Television’s Iowa State Fair booth in the Varied Industries Building will find an interactive exhibit with activities, fun, giveaways and information for the whole family.

Each day of the fair, KIDS Clubhouse Adventures co-hosts Dan Wardell and Abby Brown will be available for hugs and high fives at the IPTV booth between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Fans can also get their picture taken with Clifford the Big Red Dog from 2 to 5 p.m. daily.

Visitors can learn about IPTV Passport, a member video on-demand service, membership information and upcoming Friends Travel opportunities. While visiting the booth, guests can also register for the grand prize drawing sponsored by Friends of Iowa Public Television - a 43-inch HDTV with built-in Roku to watch all your favorite IPTV and PBS shows.

There will also be life-sized backdrops of the Iowa Ingredient studio kitchen, the Fons & Porter’s Love of Quilting set and the Woodsmith Shop for the perfect selfies. Fans of IPTV’s PBS KIDS programming will find many familiar faces at the booth to pose with, including characters from Wild Kratts, Pinkalicious & Peterrific, Daniel Tiger, Arthur and Peg + Cat. The very popular voting booth will be back, this year asking IPTV fans to tell us who is their favorite Passport personality. Bring the whole family by the booth to cast your votes, pick up free fans, temporary tattoos and bookmarks, and play with PBS KIDS apps.
