The students of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School of Parkland, Florida, should be applauded for their actions, conduct and strength of character in addressing the need for stricter gun control laws, rigid background checks and for elimination of assault weapons (weapons of war) availability. It is a wish this nation’s elected leaders/policy makers will follow the example of these students/ young adults by displaying the same determination and strength of character in taking positive actions for stricter gun control laws, rigid background checks and eliminating the availability of assault weapons (weapons of war). Above all, keep listening to these students as they experienced the horrific shooting, killings and woudings of their fellow students and of their teachers, and these students do not want this to occur to another school.
Another wish is for the voters of this nation and all states, contact all office holders, legislators and congress members to take quick, positive action for strict gun control laws, rigid background checks and elimination of availability of assault weapons (weapons of war) We, the voters, have a responsibility by voting for office holders, legislators and congress members who will possess the determination and strength of character to work diligently to make our schools, nation and all of us safer.
