Hunt & Associates, P.C., Certified Public Accountants, Friday released an audit report on Murray Community School District in Murray, Iowa.
The District’s revenues totaled $4,317,655 for the year ended June 30, 2017, a 0.7 percent decrease form the prior year. Revenues included $1,026,827 in local tax, statewide sales, services and use tax of $248,709, charges for services of $804,306, operating grants, contributions and restricted interest of $820,491, unrestricted interest of $7,182 and other general revenues of $1,410,140.
Expenses for District operations totaled $4,137,840, a 4.6 percent increase from the prior year. Expenses included $2,320,490 for instructional services, $493,531 for administration services, and $316,656 for operation and maintenance of plant services.
