Clarke bowling season ends at regionals

PLEASANT HILL — The season of the Clarke bowling squads came to an end Monday, Feb. 19 at the Class 1A regional meet at Great Escape in Pleasant Hill.

The Indians boys finished with a pin total of 2,657 to finish third, well behind the staggering total of 3,168 for Knoxville.

TJ Woods bowled a 435 series to lead the Indians.

The girls were led by Kacie Shieler’ 363 series in her last competition. As a team, the girls bowled a 2,216, 220 pins behind state qualifier Creston/O-M.

The Clarke bowling seniors were Ryan Bobolz, Brock Bucy, Alexis Grow, Nick Hadley, Dana Pearson and Shieler.

Boys individual scores — Jack Kjellsen 161, 182 (342); Ryan Bobolz 147, 114 (261); Gabe Hatcher 120, 117 (237); Gage Eggman 209, 174 (383); TJ Woods 209, 226 (435); Brock Bucy 203, 170 (373).

Girls individual scores — Mady Hill 101, 114 (215); Erin Silzer 158, 143 (301); Dana Pearson 122, 118 (240); Layla Carney 113, 169 (282); Landi Helgevold 138, 161 (299); Kacie Shieler 168, 195 (363).
