World Day of Prayer

Dear friends in Christ,

Osceola United Methodist Women invite you to join us for a time of fellowship and prayer for our community and our world for World Day of Prayer. At 10 a.m. Friday March 2 we will meet at 130 W. Grant St. in the United Methodist Fellowship Hall to hear stories of women from Suriname, to pray and to enjoy a time of fellowship and refreshments.

World Day of Prayer is a worldwide movement of Christian women of many traditions who come together to observe a common day of prayer each year, and who, in many countries, have a continuing relationship in prayer and service.

The goal of World Day of Prayer is to bring together women of different races, cultures and traditions in fellowship, understanding and action throughout the year. Through World Day of Prayer, women affirm that prayer and action are inseperable and have immeasurable influence in the world. The motto of World Day of Prayer is "Informed Prayer and Prayerful Action".

We Prayerfully extend this invitation to you.
