Police and Fire service reports

For the Osceola Police Department, September 2017 saw 421 calls for service and 173 self-initiated contacts, similar to August.

Officers investigated 19 accidents, an increase from the month before, and issued 32 citations, a reduction from August, as well as 25 written warnings and 24 verbal warnings.

Officers arrested 35 people on 69 charges in September, a slight decrease from August.

The Osceola Volunteer Fire Department handled one hay bale fire, six vehicle accidents, one structure fire, two grass fires and two haz-mat calls for a total of 46.5 hours.

The OVFD also performed 21 hours of monthly maintenance and 48 hours of training, along with public service hours, for a total 69 hours.
