Rusty Lee Throckmorton, 27, of Van Wert was charged with burglary in the first degree, harassment in the first degree, assault while participating in a felony, intimidation with a dangerous weapon, violation of a restraining order, interference with official acts, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while suspended 12:42 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 3, at 1406 230th Ave.

According to Osceola Police reports, 11:41 p.m. Sunday, July 30, Throckmorton ran head on into a vehicle. The two occupants had an existing protection order against him. The driver backed up and attempted to flee when Throckmorton jumped into the bed of the pickup, broke out the back window, reached inside and began to choke the passenger. The driver began to swerve in an attempt to throw Mr. Throckmorton from the bed of the truck. The truck entered the northwest ditch, at which point Mr. Throckmorton fled on foot.

At 12:42 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 3, officers attempted to place Mr. Throckmorton under arrest. He fled, throwing several items behind him, including a glass pipe used to smoke methamphetamine.

Bond is set at $40,000 cash.

Richard Wayne Ross, 53, of Murray was charged with possession of a controlled substance - marijuana, possession of a controlled substance - methamphetamine, driving while suspended and failure to appear 10:49 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, in the 800 block of Warren Avenue.

According to Osceola Police reports, Ross had in his possession a white crystallized substance that appeared to be methamphetamine — and field tested positive for — methamphetamine, as well as a bag containing a leafy, green substance believed to be marijuana.

Ross posted $200 cash bond.

Dustan Eguene Holtry, 38, 420 S. Gustin, Apt. B3, was taken into custody on a Marion County warrant 2:55 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, at his residence.

Zachary Allen Trotter, 20, of Underwood was charged with theft in the second degree 6:22 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, in the 100 block of East Logan Street.

According to an Osceola Police report, officers received a complaint of a suspicious vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. During the investigation, it was discovered and confirmed the vehicle was stolen from Council Bluffs.

Bond is not known.

Kristy Lee Dudly, 30, of Chariton reported the theft of cash from her vehicle between 2 and 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, in the Wal-Mart Parking Lot.

Loss estimate is $300.

Salomon Pascual Jose, 24, 1729 Truman Road, Lot 35, was charged with consumption of alcohol in a public place - first offense 4:26 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, in the 300 block of North Fillmore Street.

According to an Osceola Police report, officers saw Jose unconscious and hanging out the window of a legally parked vehicle on North Fillmore Street. There was vomit down the side of the car and on the concrete, and Jose smelled strongly of alcohol. He admitted to drinking and the result of a preliminary breath test registered a .171.
