Adam Michael Roan, 34, of Afton was charged with possession with intent to deliver, eluding and third-degree criminal mischief 11:20 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28, in the 1800 block of Leisure Drive.
According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Roan was stopped for speeding in the 2000 block of Highway 34. When the deputy returned to his vehicle to retrieve a K9 partner, Roan jumped into his vehicle and fled. Deputies pursued with lights and siren activated. After several minutes, Roan came to a stop on Leisure Avenue and 190th Avenue.
Roan was taken into custody. Several small plastic baggies commonly used to distribute narcotics were in the driver’s seat. There was a small amount of crystalline substance on the floor between the passenger-side door and front seat, which tested positive for methamphetamine.
A small vial containing THC was also removed from Roan’s pocket.
Roan posted an $18,000 surety bond.

Deangelo Darius Smith, 25, of Hills was charged with a probation violation 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, at Johnson County Jail.
According to Clarke County Court records, Smith failed to pay restitution and failed to inform his parole officer of a new arrest.

Christopher Thomas Hendrickson, 22, 214 N. Jackson St., was charged with a probation violation 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 4, at the Clarke County Sheriff’s Office.
According to a sheriff’s report, Hendrickson failed to appear for probation supervision.

Luther Fredrick Smith, 39, 916 Blakes Lane, was charged with driving under suspension 12:34 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, in the 100 block of East Jefferson Street.
