Vladislav Goryachy, 28, of Derby was charged with driving under suspension 3:50 p.m. Monday, Aug. 21, at the Law Enforcement Center.

According to an Osceola Police report, Goryachy pleaded guilty and was ordered to pay $397.50 in fines and related costs.

Gary Dean Spencer, Jr., 53, of Fort Dodge was charge with possession of a controlled substance marijuana first offense 7:01 a.m. Monday, Aug. 22, at Lakeside Hotel and Casino.

According to an Osceola Police report, Spencer dropped marijuana on the casino floor. Surveillance video showed he was in possession before it was dropped.

Spencer posted $200 cash bond.

William Harold Jones, 54, 2187 205th Ave, Unit A, was charged with trespass -first offense 8:53 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22, at the Law Enforcement Center.

According to an Osceola Police report, Jones was found sleeping in someone’s vehicle without permission and told him to leave. Jones left behind a wallet, a shoe, socks and a pocket knife inside of the vehicle. The vehicle also

smelled heavily of cigarette smoke, and the steering wheel was locked not allowing for the owner to start to it.

Bond is not known.

Billy Ray Glassford, 55, of Chariton was taken into custody on a Mahaska County warrant 5:46 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, at 1805 N. Main St.

Brandon Michael Mateer, 36, 2457 Lacelle Road, was charged with seven counts of forgery, ongoing criminal conduct and a warrant for second-degree theft 1:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 25, at Lakeside Hotel and Casino.

According to an Osceola Police report, Mateer made seven fraudulent deposits envelopes between Feb. 10 and Feb. 13, 2017, totaling $3,491.85, into the American State Bank Shazam machine, and then made multiple withdrawals knowing there was no money in his account.

Mateer is being held on $30,000 cash or surety bond.

Jacob Allen Veach, 24, of Decatur was charged with possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine first offense, possession of drug paraphernalia and carrying weapons 12:25 a.m. Friday, Aug. 25 at Lakeside Hotel and Casino.

According to an Osceola Police report, Veach had in his possession a plastic bag that contained a crystalline substance. The substance appeared to be methamphetamine. Officers also located a white tube that appeared to be used to snort methamphetamine. The tube field tested positive. Veach was also carrying a pair of black brass knuckles in his pocket.

Veach posted $200 cash bond.

Tammy Sue Willett, 37, of Afton was charged with operating while intoxicated - first offense 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, at the 41 mile marker of Interstate 35.

According to an Osceola Police report, a vehicle was called in as being all over the road. Officers located the vehicle, noticed it drifting and driving on the yellow line and initiated a stop. Willett smelled of an alcoholic beverage, was having difficulty locating documents and items in the car, admitted to drinking prior to stop, had bloodshot and watery eyes, and failed all three standardized field sobriety tests. She refused a preliminary breath test and was placed under arrest. After implied consent, Willett provided a sample on the Datamaster with a result of .181.

Willett posted $500 cash bond.

John Glenn Willett, 47, of Eagleville, Missouri, was charged with driving while suspended 12:46 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 27, in the 2000 block of West Clay Street.

Willett posted $300 cash bond.

Tyler Carson Horn, 35, 118 W. Ayers, Apt. 3, was charged with assault while displaying a dangerous weapon 3:42 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 27, at the intersection of Clay Street and Temple Street.

According to an Osceola Police report, Horn through a rock and struck an individual in the head, causing bodily injury.

Horn posted $2,000 cash bond.

In a related incident, Jess E. Stephenson, 35, 222 S. Fillmore St., Apt. 2, was charged with conspiracy to commit an aggravated misdemeanor 4:56 a.m. Monday, Aug. 28, on Jefferson Street and Lincoln Street.

According to reports, Stephenson arranged a meeting between Horn and the victim and then physically tried to stop the individual from leaving as the assault was taking place.

Bond is set at $2,000 cash only.
