Osceola Police officers responded to 409 calls for service in July, a decrease from June but still a very high number for Osceola. Officers initiated 130 contacts, another slight decrease.
Officers investigated 15 traffic accidents, an increase from June. They issued 69 citations in July, a decrease from June. They also issued 34 written warnings and 28 verbal warnings.
Officers arrested 24 people on 41 charges.

The Osceola Volunteer Fire Department had two ambulance assists, one hay bale fire, three vehicle accidents, one structure fire, one alarm call, three grass fires and one HAZ-MAT call in July, for a total of 12 calls and 136 man hours used.
Firefighters also engaged in 39 hours of monthly maintenance, 52 hours of monthly training and six hours of public service, for a total of 97 man hours invested in training, maintenance and education.
