Jacob Thomas Fairley, 815 N. Main St., reported vandalism to a vehicle between 5:40 a.m. and 6 p.m. Friday, July 21, in a parking lot on Warren Ave.

Damage estimate is $300.

Reva Eileen Louse Hommer of Woodburn reported the theft of a black purse, key chain, make up and cash from her car between 9 and 11 p.m. Monday, July 24, at Dollar General.

Loss estimate is $80.

Steven Wayne Fasbender, 38, 420 S. Gustin St., Apt. B2, was charged with shoplifting 9:07 p.m. Monday, July 24, at Fareway Grocery.

According to an Osceola Police report, Fasbender was identified by a Fareway employee who stated that the defendant had intended to take a box of crackers without paying. When given consent to search the defendant’s backpack by the defendant, four other food items from the store were found in the backpack that had not been paid for. These items totaled $28.03.

Fasbender was released on his own recognizance.

Thomas Michael Belz, 31, Waukee, was taken into custody on a parole violation 3:22 a.m. Friday, July 28, at Lakeside Hotel & Casino.

Bond is not known.

Vicky Lee Dearing, 39, Dakota City, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia 5:20 a.m. Friday, July 28, at Lakeside Hotel & Casino.

According to an Osceola Police report, Dearing had a multi-colored glass pipe in her possession she used to smoke marijuana.

Bond is not known.

Corey Matthew Brown, 39, Lorimor, was taken into custody after failing to appear in court on a domestic abuse assault charge 5:43 p.m. Friday, July 28, at the intersection of Leisure Driver and the Truro Pavement.

Brown posted $2,000 bond.

Michael Allen Ridley, 47, 723 W. Cass St., was charged with disorderly conduct - abusive epithet/threatening 11:03 p.m. Friday, July 28, at 263 Manor Dr.

According to an Osceola Police report, Ridley went to 263 Manor Drive and yelled at the Robinson family. When officers arrived Ridley yelled epithets in the presence of officers towards Drew Robinson. Ridley was asked to step back and still kept walking towards Robinson attempting to get him to fight.

Ridley posted $40 bond.

Everette King Jones IV, 513 E. McLane St., was charged with assault causing bodily injury and criminal mischief in the fourth degree 8:20 p.m. Sunday, July 30, in the 300 block of South Fillmore Street.

According to an Osceola Police report, a homeless individual was sleeping in the driver seat of his vehicle as it was parked. Jones broke out driver door window, reached inside the vehicle and punched the individual in the face, causing one of his front teeth to break off. Jones also broke the tail light of the vehicle. The total estimated cost of repair was more than $200 but less than $500.

Jones was released on his own recognizance.
