Donnie Ray Arnold, 28, or Corydon was charged with domestic assault 1 a.m. Saturday, June 17, at the Law Enforcement Center.

According to an Osceola Police report, officers were dispatched 10:56 p.m. Saturday, May 13, to the apartments at 263 Manor Dr. for an assault. Dispatch advised there were eight to 10 people involved and someone had grabbed a weapon from the back of a truck.

Several calls were received on the same incident. One of the callers said they had shown up to repossess a vehicle and were attacked.

After speaking to all those involved, it was determined that Arnold and two friends arrived at the apartments to retrieve his truck from his girlfriend. In the process, he blocked her from leaving in the vehicle, opened the door, turned it off and removed the keys, and then began shouting at her loud enough for neighbors to hear and get involved. Arnold struck one of the men who had come outside to help and was badly beaten.

Arnold asked to be taken to Wayne County Hospital for treatment for a possible broken jaw and several missing teeth.
