Iowa Public Television kicks off the second decade of Dan Wardell's Reading Road Trip on Wednesday, June 7 in Villisca, Iowa. IPTV partners with libraries statewide to promote summer reading during the Reading Road Trip. Dan Wardell, the popular host of the IPTV KIDS Clubhouse, will welcome kids and families in communities across the state with an engaging, interactive story time. As he has for the past 10 years, Wardell will encourage kids to turn their TVs off, read a good book, go outside and play, use their imaginations and eat healthy foods.
The Reading Road Trip will host sessions 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, at the Osceola Public Library.
Once the summer is over, Wardell will continue his Reading Road Trip story times throughout the school year as the Clubhouse production schedule permits. Fans can follow Dan Wardell's year-long journey by visiting his online journal of Reading Road Trip adventures, complete with an interactive map, story time photos, videos and more. Families can find Dan Wardell online at Iptv.org/clubhouse or on Facebook at IPTV KIDS Clubhouse.
Support for the Reading Road Trip is provided by Blank Children’s Hospital and Casey’s General Stores.
