Clarke County SCICF grant apps due April 15

The Clarke County South Central Iowa Community Foundation grant deadline is approaching. To be considered for a grant, applications must be postmarked by April 15th.

To be considered for a grant, organizations must be tax-exempt, non-profit entities classified by the IRS as a 501(c) (3) organization or a government body (school, city, county). Application forms may be obtained at the Foundation's website www.scicf.org under the Clarke County tab or by contacting Stacy at the Foundation office at 108 North Grand in Chariton, 641-217-9105.

Grants are awarded in a competitive grant process to those organizations that score on four funding priorities.Those four funding priorities are positive impact to Clarke County, permanency of the project, the number of people impacted by the project and the amount of community support the project has, including other financial support.

The mission of South Central Iowa Community Foundation is to contribute to a better life for the people of South Central Iowa by helping donors carry out their charitable intent and by providing responsible stewardship of gifts for community purposes.
