Bundridge accepted into photography salon

Encourages others to take part

Last summer, Murray resident April Bundridge submitted four photos to the Iowa State Fair Photography Salon. Though she has been an avid photographer since age 8 or 9. Only 23 percent of photographers were chosen for inclusion, which includes publication in a book of the winning photographs, so Bundridge was surprised when one of her photographs made it.

“I discovered that I was the only person in Clarke County to submit a photo to the salon. I was surprised, considering how many wonderful entries we have at the Clarke County Fair each year,” said Bundridge. “I would encourage anyone who is considering entering a photo this year, to step up and take the chance.”

While Bundridge and her husband, Jerry, moved here 10 years ago, they’ve chosen to stay in the Murray area to raise their three children, Roger, Mikayla and Alexandria. Three years ago, Bundridge’s mother moved in next door.

In addition, Bundridge works for the Clarke County Soil & Water Conservation District in Osceola and serves on the board for the South Central Iowa Community Action Program (SCICAP) in Chariton.
