CHARITON — Clarke’s girls basketball team saw its season end Saturday in the Class 3A Region 8 first round.
Chariton topped the Lady Indians 68-47.
The Chargers jumped out to a 20-14 lead after one quarter. The margin was pushed to 34-26 at halftime and 47-32 after three quarters.
Sophomore Des Stubbe led the Lady Indians with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Seniors Vanessa Bakley and Sydnee Redman each had 11 points.
Clarke’s season ends at 8-14.
The Lady Indians bid farewell to two seniors in Bakley and Redman.
