Clarke fifth grade student Mya Walter has won third place in the Iowa Tar Wars Poster Contest.
The students were to design a positive poster that represented their commitment to remaining tobacco free.
Each year in fifth grade guidance, Clarke use the Tar Wars curriculum to discuss tobacco use and making healthy choices.
Because of her placing in the contest, Clarke Community Elementary School will receive $100 from the Iowa Academy of Family Physicians Foundation, and Walter will receive a $50 Walmart gift card.
