Boyer ranks gold in state job interview contest

Iowa FFA Job Interview Leadership event was held at Iowa State University in Ames Monday, April 18.

Iowa FFA Association is a youth organization of more than 14,800 student members as part of 226 local FFA chapters across Iowa. The top 12 individuals from around the state came together to participate in this year’s Job Interview Career Development Event (CDE).

Members participating in the Job Interview Career Development Event had to demonstrate their ability in filling out a job application form, writing a letter of application, preparing a resume, interviewing properly, answering questions clearly and presenting the proper impression.

Iowa FFA Job Interview CDE was made possible with support from Legend Seeds through the Iowa FFA Foundation.

Kailtyn Boyer, a senior FFA member at Clarke, ranked among the top eight receiving a gold. She was honored on stage for her dedication and hard work.

“It was an honor to represent my school and community as I competed in the Job Interview Career Development Event,” Boyer said. “Participating in this contest has strengthened my interviewing skills and helped me prepare for my future. This opportunity also provided me an opportunity to network with agricultural leaders throughout the Midwest.”
