Angela J. Church of Ankeny reported a 52-inch RCA television, seven trail cameras, two chainsaws (one Homelite and one Stihl), cultivator and tiller, log splitter, deer stands, snow blade, hunting gear and several other items were taken from her cabin between March 9 and 30.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, entry into the cabin appears to have been made by breaking in the door.

Loss estimate is $3,055. The sheriff’s office is investigating this incident.

Jacqueline Lea Smith of Murray reported a wallet with bank cards was taken from her car when the vehicle was parked in front of her residence 11:50 a.m. April 3 to 4 a.m. April 4.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Smith said her vehicle was unlocked at the time of the incident. She also said she had contacted her banks to cancel the cards.

Loss estimate is $50. The sheriff’s office is investigating this incident.

Jennifer Ann Nolin, 32 of Mitchellville was charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, second offense, 3:35 a.m. April 3.

Nolin was arraigned and released from Clarke County Jail by the magistrate.

Cody Tyler Smith, 24, of Sauk Rapids, Minn., was charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated 5:21 a.m. April 2.

Smith was arraigned and released from Clarke County Jail.

Terry Ray Hankins-Lund Jr., 27, of Des Moines was charged with escape from custody 12:10 p.m. March 31.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Hankins-Lund Jr. escaped from custody while being returned to Clarke County Jail from court. He was taken back into custody approximately four blocks from the courthouse after a short foot chase.

Escape charges have been filed against Hankins-Lund Jr., who is being held in Clarke County Jail on other charges, as well.

Joseph Redman Snook, 25, of Van Wert was charged with second-degree theft and fourth-degree theft 6 p.m. March 30.

Snook was being held in Clarke County Jail until he could post bail or go to court.

On March 29 at 2:35 p.m., Tamara Lynne Cowley of Osceola was observed by a Clarke County deputy driving away from Clarke County Courthouse in a green Ford Explorer.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Cowley’s driving privileges are suspended. A citation to appear in court has been mailed to her.

Talton Julian Toney, 40, of Lamoni was charged with failure to serve time for second-degree theft 11 p.m. April 6.

Toney will be held until time is served as there is no bond.

Marilyn Kay Beeler of Woodburn reported 160 gallons of gas was taken from their gas barrel between March 7 and April 2.

Loss estimate is $265.
