Peterson Farm Brothers coming to Afton

AFTON — Peterson Farm Brothers, musical agriculture group, are coming to East Union High School’s gym in Afton, 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28. A “meet and greet” will follow.

There will be free admission to Union, Adair, Clarke and Ringgold county 4-H’ers (fourth through 12th grade students). Tickets will be sold at door to general public — $3 (18 years and younger); and $5 (adults).

The doors open at 5:30 p.m. It is first come, first serve seating.

The Peterson Farm Brothers farm together with their parents near Assaria, Kan. They travel the country performing, speaking and promoting agriculture.

The brothers Greg, Nathan, and Kendal realize the need to inform people about what they do in farming and in agriculture in general. The brothers feel it is their calling to help correct some of the misconceptions in today’s agriculture.

They create musical parodies by incorporating agriculture and humor into the music. Through their public appearances and productions on social media, the brothers hope to educate the general public on where their food comes from and what a real Midwest family farm looks like.

Peterson Farm Brothers appearance Feb. 28 in Afton is hosted by Union, Adair, Clarke and Ringgold counties 4-H programs. The event will be an opportunity for youths and adults to see the brothers in person.

You can help to "pack the gym" and show appreciation to the brothers for their efforts in promoting agriculture. Check out the Peterson Farm Brothers website: www.petersonfarmbros.com
