Rate increase

As a courtesy to all Osceola Water Works customers, your water works board would like to inform the public of the recent decision to increase service rates 10 percent, effective Feb. 1, 2016.

In a Jan. 7 public hearing, Osceola Water Works Board presented the case for the increase, citing the need for both infrastructure and sanitation protocol improvements. This increase is intended to cover the ever-growing costs for your water treatment — keeping it safe, drinkable and flowing strong throughout the city.

For more information or to see how the rate will affect your water bill, you can go to OsceolaWaterWorks.com and select the “In the News” tab or stop by the water works office at 208 W. Jefferson St.

Thank you, we appreciate your patronage and look forward to a great 2016.
